Experience Beauty Abroad is a hybrid study-abroad/externship experience designed to provide insight into the fast-growing international beauty industry. Expected to be valued at $784.6 BILLION by 2025, you have chosen an outstanding industry in which to build a career path. However, to maximize your success, you need to understand, and appreciate, the diversity within the global beauty industry. There is so much more to beauty than what we find in the USA, so why not take an opportunity to explore the industry beyond these borders with Experience Beauty Abroad.

Who is the program designed for? Recent graduates of professional training programs, rising talent in the beauty industry, industry professionals looking to move beyond their existing borders and people with a passion for exploring the world. Experience Beauty Abroad is designed to build on your current industry training and expose you to the nuances of doing business globally.

 

The program includes:

  • -Fully-equipped, local-style apartment housing during program term, living with other program participants

    -Guaranteed private room, possible upgrade to double (additional supplemental fee to apply)

    -Shared bathroom

    -Functional kitchen, common areas, washing machine

    -Utilities and Wi-Fi included

    -Sheets, bedding, and towels provided

    -Weekly common area cleaning service included

  • -10-week placement with a Global Beauty Ambassador for intensive 20 hours per week externship (unpaid)

    -Guaranteed 3-consecutive days off for travel each week (specific schedule to be determined with assigned Global Beauty Ambassador)

  • -Bi-weekly International Seminar Series (facilitated by Global experts on a variety of related topics)

    -Mentoring/Coaching sessions with Program Director

  • -City specific public transport card (for use on city transport, including buses and trains), not valid for travel between other cities/countries

    -Airport pickup at arrival and final departure (only applicable if arriving to/leaving from host city)

  • -Certificate of Completion of program

    -Skills Verification Checklist

    -Letter of recommendation from Program Founder/Director

  • -Variety of country, region, city specific resources

    -Special invite and access to various events in host city

    -Additional two weeks on tourist visa to travel in, and around, Europe after 10-week program commitment

 

The Qualified Candidate:

  • -High school Diploma (or equivalent) required

    -Successful completion of professional training program (e.g. cosmetology, esthetics, etc.) or Associate’s Degree (documentation required)

    -State Licensure preferred, but not required

  • -Valid US Passport with 6 months remaining validity beyond travel dates

    -Travel Insurance for duration of stay (proof required)

  • -Complete and submit application in full

    -Submit non-refundable application fee (application dates listed on Events calendar)

    -Attend application interview (possibly by Zoom or other video conferencing platform) for consideration

    -Must be able to commit to minimum of 10 week training program. Remaining 2 weeks are optional, and highly encouraged. Program dates listed on Events calendar

  • -All program fees will be paid via credit card or wire transfer in Euros., with sender assuming transfer costs

    -Selected participants must submit 50% non-refundable program fee within 15 days of acceptance

    -Selected participants must submit remaining non-refundable program fee within 15 days of program start date, plus additional 500 Euro refundable housing deposit

    -Housing deposit will be returned after program housing inspection, within 15 business days of the end of program date

  • -Selected participants must sign Program Contract upholding professional workplace standards

    -Individuals responsible for adhering to the laws of Host Country
